Dense fog forms this evening across eastern, central and southern England, creating visibility issues as low cloud develops for many. A grey start follows, with fog slow to clear and scattered showers along the far south of England. Temperatures sit in the mid‑single figures for most towns and cities, but it will be colder in northern Scotland under clear skies with values dipping below freezing.
