An overcast start this Sunday with fog and low cloud across Scotland, Northern Ireland, northwest England and parts of the southeast, making for some difficult early‑morning travel. Cloud lingers for much of the day. Later, spells of rain push into the south and move north through the afternoon. This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the morning of 18/01/2026.
