Interested or confused about the differences between the Willys L-134 "Go-Devil" and the F-134 "Hurricane" engines? In this 6-minute video, I walk you through a side-by-side visual comparison to help you identify exactly what's under that vintage hood.

Using examples from the shop, we look at the key external differences between the flathead design of the L-134 (found in the CJ-2A, CJ-3A early production Jeepsters) and the F-head design of the F-134 (found in the CJ-3B, CJ-5, trucks and some later 50's Jeepsters). We cover the valve cover height, carburetor placement, intake manifold differences, and the unique "F" head configuration that makes the Hurricane taller.
