Описание: This Sunday, we will walk with Abraham and Isaac to the top of Mt. Moriah and witness together one of the most extreme demonstrations of faith in the Bible. Faced with God’s staggering command to sacrifice his son Isaac, Abraham’s faith is revealed as genuine—a faith that trusts God’s provision even in the most extreme circumstances. From the raising of the knife to the provision of a substitute—a ram in Isaac’s place—we see a vivid picture of the cross and the Substitute who dies in our place, God’s own Son. But this story is not only about Abraham’s test; it is also a mirror for our own lives. How do we respond when God tests our faith? Do we put Him first, trusting His promises, confident that His provision is sufficient? As we explore Abraham’s obedience and God’s faithfulness, we are invited to examine our own hearts to see if our faith in Christ is genuine and full. I pray you will come to be encouraged and edified as we spend time together in Genesis 22. Soli Deo Gloria!

1. What characteristics do we see in Abraham’s faith? Do those same characteristics define your faith?

2. Why did God wait until the last minute to stay Abraham’s knife? What did God provide and how does this reveal the gospel?

3. How have you been tested in your faith? How are you being tested now? How can the story in Genesis 22 bring encouragement and strength to your trials?

4. Abrahm’s faith was not a faith of loss, but abundance—he descended Mt. Moriah in obedience to God with his son. Would you describe your faith as a “full faith”? Or do you see faith and obedience leading to loss rather than abundance? How might Genesis 22 serve to increase your faith?
