The Many Marriages of Nero Pt II: A Miserable First Wedding & Nero's Rise to Power

Описание: Before dying violently at 30, the Roman Emperor Nero had managed to get married five times -- four of those times as a groom, and once, allegedly (while serving as Emperor of Rome!) -- in the role of a bride. On top of that, he was never one to go to bed alone, regardless of his marital entanglements at any given moment. The man's bedroom must've been a Roman Grand Central Station.

In this second video of our series on Nero's various beloved, we witness Nero's rise to the position of emperor, as well as his first marriage to poor, poor Claudia Octavia. But, as ever, the most important woman in Nero's life--his mother, Agrippina--looms large.
