I complete a full Jill Valentine playthrough of Resident Evil, going for the best ending, saving every character, and revisiting the game that started survival horror as we know it.
This run is part of my Road to Resident Evil 9, replaying the classic titles to see where the series began — from the Spencer Mansion’s atmosphere and music to branching story decisions, files, and character differences between Jill and Chris.
In this playthrough:
– Full Resident Evil (1996) Jill campaign
– Best ending with all survivors saved
– Jill vs Chris campaign differences explained
– Lore files, story analysis, and classic cutscenes
– Commentary on difficulty, balance, and game design
– PC version with skipped door animations for smoother pacing
Jill’s campaign is often called the “easy mode,” and this run shows why — grenade launcher early, fewer resource constraints, but far less room for mistakes. Along the way, we compare story beats with Chris’s campaign, the remake, and later entries in the series.
This is pure survival horror nostalgia — tank controls, fixed camera angles, iconic save room music, and that unmistakable late-90s atmosphere.
🔔 Resident Evil 9 releases February 27, and I’m playing through the entire series leading up to it.

Thanks for watching — the mansion may be behind us, but the nightmare isn’t over.
