Quantities to prepare 30-35 Bhalle or Vade
Dahi bhalle Recipe:
1. Take 1 Cup Moong Dal
2. Wash thoroughly and soak in water for 5-6 hours
3. Take 1/2 Cup Urad Dal
4. Wash thoroughly and soak in water for 5-6 hours
5. Drain Moong and Urad Dal
6. Transfer Moong Dal in grinder
7. Grind well to make thick paste, add some water as needed
8. Transfer Urad Dal in grinder
9. Grind well to make thick paste, add some water as needed
10. Mix well
11. Whisk well with hand
12. Coarse grind 1 inch garlic and 1 green chilli and add it to the mix
13. Batter is ready now
14. Take water at room temperature in large bowl to keep bhalle
15. Add 1/4 tsp hing
16. Add 1/8 cup milk
17. Heat oil in a pan on low-medium flame
18. Add 1/4 tsp salt in batter and mix well
19. Take small chunk of batter and slowly place in oil
20. Add more of small chunks of batter according to the capacity of pan
21. Keep turning until bhalle get fried from both sides with golden pale colour
22. Take out from oil
23. Transfer to the water
24. Repeat the process with rest of the batter
25. Bhalle are ready now, leave in water for 2-3 hours
26. Take 1.5 cup cold curd
27. Add 2 tbsp sugar
28. whisk well
29. Note: This quantity of curd is good for 12-14 bhalle only
30. Take bhalle and squeeze it to remove water
31. Place it on a plate
32. Add curd
33. Add Imli Chutney
34. Add Green Chutney
35. Add Chat Masala
36. Add Roasted Cumin Powder
37. Add Kala Namak
38. Add Kashmiri Red Chilli
39. Simply Delicious Dahi Bhalle are ready!!
