Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar distanced himself from political statements against him. “With regard to the political statements by certain political leaders or political parties, the Commission does not wish to engage in such dialogues,” said Kumar. He also added that Election Commission will not tolerate political violence and any inducement to influence the elections and will take strictest action against those doing so.
