Singh pointed out that 60% of India's crude oil and 50% of its gas comes through the Strait of Hormuz. CPI(M) MP John Brittas highlighted a Covid-like situation regarding the gas shortages, forcing restaurants and colleges to close. He accused the government of failing to manage supply, leading to black marketing.
