The next stop of our gastronomic tour is Lake Velence, where Tamás prepares a yummy menu for the smallest ones to celebrate Children's Day. 🤗
TOMATO SOUP WITH ALPHABET NOODLES
Ingredients:
• tomato sauce
• sugar
• salt
• black pepper
• vegetable broth
• alphabet pasta
Boil the tomato sauce and add two level teaspoons of sugar and salt, and some ground black pepper. Stir it constantly, because it can catch in the pan easily.
Add the vegetable broth to loosen your soup, according to your taste.
Bring it to boil then add the alphabet pasta, and cook them for 3-4 minutes in the sauce. It will thicken the soup a little.
This makes a traditional flavouring, but you can add a little celery, parmeggiano or basil leaves - as you like it.
STUFFED PEPPERS WITH BOILED POTATOES
Ingredients:
• tomato sauce
• new/early potatoes
• ground pork shoulder
• rice
• salt
• ground black pepper
• yellow peppers
Stem the yellow peppers, and slit the bottom of it twice, crosswise. and get the stuffing done in the meantime. Mix the meat with the purposely undercooked rice. It will get cooked properly in the tomato sauce later on. Season the stuffing with salt, pepper and mix it well.
Stuff the peppers, and make meatballs from the leftover filling. We will cook them in the sauce. Boil the puree and season it with salt, and put the peppers and the meatballs into it.
It will take approximately 45 minutes to cook, so there is plenty of time to prepare the potatoes. If you use early potatoes don’t need to peel them, just wash them well with a sponge. Cook them in salted water for 15 minutes.
Before serving, cut a pepper into half, to check if the stuffing is cooked well.
