Описание: Finally here is our race one footage from Snetterton.

Unfortunately our trusty old GoPro Hero4 started playing up, so we had to invest in a new GoPro. Although the video quality is much better, we had to use the internal microphone as the GoPro media mod was back ordered, meaning we couldn't use an external microphone like we do with the Hero4 to get clearer sound. To get to the point, apologies if you notice the annoying rustling noise in the back ground. This is slightly audible in the original footage but Facebook's compression makes it worse.

For our last outing of the year we travelled to Snetterton on the 16th of October, for two races with the CMMCS Super Saloons. It was very chilly Snetterton but thankfully a dry one!

Qualifying wasn't great for us, we ventured out on brand new slicks on a cold, slippery track. It was also the first track action of the day, this meant we were really struggling for grip, so much so there may have been a little spin, whoops. Thankfully this didn't flat spot the tyres. We ended the session in third behind two powerful 4WD cars, an Impreza and WRC Escort Cosworth.

As this is the first time we have been to Snetterton since 2019 and the first time we taken a VF there, we were going in a little blind on setup/gear ratios.

Although we were due to line up third on the grid, the pole sitting Impreza was missing due to an issue.

We knew the we would have a fight on our hands against the 4WD cars, especially due to the track conditions but on the second corner of the first lap Rod Birley in his WRC Cosworth found a horrendous pot hole on the edge of the circuit, which wrecked the rear wheel and took off the bottom of the caliper, bringing a premature end to his race.

This put us into an early lead with two nimble and nippy M3's behind us.

As expected we had the legs on them down the straights but we were really struggling for grip in the corners, which is where they would close the gap. Especially through Coram and the Bomb Hole, where the big Holden was really struggling.

This allowed Adrian to nip up the inside a few times throughout the race, as you will see from the incar footage but as soon as the power could be unleashed a large gap was opened up, which allowed us to keep the lead and take our first win of the day.

For race two we made some setup changes to try and combat the lack of grip and keep the M3's at bay through the corners.

On the first lap we sprinted away from the rest of the field and no one was able to get close, with a gap of up 15 seconds at points in the race, Alex ended up just managing the gap until the chequered flag. The changes made before the race made the car much more stable through corners, so we have a good base to start from next time we go back to Snetterton.

This was a great end to our season with another two wins for GRM15.
