The 30 hour siege that followed led to the death of all seven suspects in the house. It is still to this day the largest number of suspects to die in a non-riotous local police action in this country. The true crime novel "Echoes of Shannon Street" by James R. Howell is based on the case file. A documentary, "Shannon Street: Echoes Under a Blood Red Moon" is available on DVD and streaming.
