Iowa Interstate QJ 6988 - Homeward Bound from Illinois!

Описание: After Iowa Interstate's 2-10-2 QJ class steam locomotive ran excursions in Chillicothe, it would deadhead westward to Annawan, and after that would ultimately run back towards its home base of Newton, IA!

5/18/2019 - Today, after the Chillicothe, IL excursions, 6988 would run north to Bureau, IL where it would stay for the night. 6988 would mostly utilize her Southern and Guatemalan whistle for this run!

(0:08) - Departing Chillicothe, IL, with some wheelslip!

(1:50) - Henry, IL

(4:16) - Ducking underneath a large elevator at Putnam, IL

(5:24) - Just before 6988 arrives at Bureau, IL, IAIS CBBI rolls through the junction with SD38-2 #152 leading!

(6:32) - 5/19/2019 - 6988 would be unshootable arriving at Bureau, IL, so we start the day off with the deadhead to Annawan at Sheffield, IL. 6988 would wear her Southern whistle until Annawan, where afterwards she would wear the Illinois Central "steamboat" whistle.

(7:42) - Arriving Annawan, IL

(9:38) - Departing Annawan

(11:35) - Arriving Geneseo, IL

(12:53) - Departing Geneseo

(14:01) - Colona, IL

(16:07) - Crossing the Rock River at Colona

(16:55) - Arriving Silvis via Carbon Cliff, IL

(18:19) - Just after 6988's arrival, IAIS 503 departs SI with the CBBI

(20:05) - 5/20/2019 - The final leg of the journey home, 6988 would be pulling a freight train out of Silvis, and would depart after CBBI's arrival. 6988 would be wearing her Grand Trunk Western whistle for the trip home

(22:01) - Departing Silvis, IL

(23:17) - Rock Island, IL

(25:48) - Crossing the Mississippi River at Davenport, IA

(28:38) - Wilton, IA

(29:42) - West Liberty, IA
