Through His Name

Описание: [email protected] In biblical times a name represented one’s character and teaching. Jesus gave believers the authority to use His name to do great things. Through His name, we can be saved from sin and eternal damnation. Sin is the breaking of God’s laws and separates us from God. We were born into it. In the Old testament, recurring animal sacrifices were in place to atone for our sins. Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we could live, only His sacrifice was a “one and done” deal. All our sins are atoned for, past and future. Acts 4:11-12 “This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” It is only through His name that we can be saved. Through His name we can be healed. I did not say “will be healed”, I said “can be healed”. This can be physical or spiritual healing. Sometimes God chooses to physically heal us, and other times, He doesn’t. Spiritual healing is up to us, though. He provided the way. We just need to accept it. 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” See, He provides the way and we accept it. Romans 10:13 “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
In His name demons flee. Demons flee at the name of Jesus because it signifies the ultimate divine authority and power of God, not just a word; it represents His character, victory over sin/death, and the authority He grants believers making it a command demons must obey, Acts 16:17-18 She followed Paul and us, crying out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.” And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour.” It is not a magic word, it is the power by faith that makes the difference.
