How about a video from this past summer! People were said to have started settling in Summerberry, Saskatchewan in the early 1 880s. The rail line was built through the settlement in 1882. The Post Office in Summerberry, opened on October 1, 1884 and the Summerberry School, a two-story stone building, was completed in 1909. It initially housed grades one through ten, with two classrooms on the first floor and an auditorium on the second. In 1922, the school introduced arades eleven and twelve utilizing the second floor. Due to declining enrollment, the high school closed in 1965 and the entire school ceased operation the following year. Summerberry is in the Wolseley and Grenfell area.
