Dairy Free Almond Cinnamon rolls | How to Bake with Almond Milk

DAIRY-FREE ALMOND CINNAMON BUNS
Ingredients:
(~12 Buns)
Dough:
1 teaspoon sugar
1 packet of yeast (8-10g)
1/2 cup lukewarm water
3/4 cup room temperature/lukewarm unsweetened non-dairy milk
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
300g all-purpose flour
Filling:
cinnamon powder (approx. according to preference)
sugar (approx. according to preference)
Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened non-dairy milk (Orasi Almond Milk)
bake at 190°C for 15-20 mins
Instructions:
1. Heat up the almond milk with olive oil till lukewarm.
2. Add in the yeast, sugar and salt and mixed till combined.
3. add the flour by parts and mix till sticky.
4. switch over to hands and knead the dough till evenly combined.
5. Place the dough in a mixing bowl and cover with a towel for an hour or till doubled in size.
6. lightly flour the work surface, take out the dough and roll it flat into a rectangular shape about 1-2cm thick.
7. brush olive oil over the surface and sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar evenly as you roll the dough as tightly as you can.
8. cut the long dough into even slices ( approx. 12 slices)
9. place them into lightly grease baking pan, allowing some space for the dough to grow.
10. cover the baking pans with a towel and let the dough rest for another 30 mins.
11. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 190°C
12. bake the rolls for 15-20 mins till browned.
13. Mix the icing sugar and almond milk/vegan milk together till well-combined and dissolved.
14. take out the rolls and let it rest for a few minutes before consuming.
15. pour the almond icing over for additional sweetness and shine! Enjoy!
To note: It is an impromptu bake hence there isn't great consistency so not meant to be a professional recipe video but it definitely works if you are just looking for a fast fun baking idea for your own/family cravings! :) hope you all like it! I'm not a professional videographer as well just doing this out of hobby so pardon the not so ideal video style or quality.
