Distance from Galle: Approximately 11.2 km (around 21 minutes by car).
Access: Travel along the Matara Road from Galle to reach Thalpe Beach.
Unique Features-
Rock Pools: Thalpe Beach is famous for its rectangular rock pools carved out of the coral reef about 50 years ago. These pools were originally used to soak coconut husks to separate coconut coir.
