The Yal Devi Train departs from Colombo Fort Railway Station at 6:40 AM every day of the week. The train is organized as follows:
• First Class: 4 air-conditioned seats in each compartment
• Second Class: 2 reserved seats per compartment and 2 general access seats
• Third Class: 4 seats per compartment
The journey takes approximately 8 hours, arriving at Kankesanthurai Railway Station around 3:15 PM.
Ticket prices are as follows:
• First Class (air-conditioned seat): LKR 2,900
• Second Class (reserved seat): LKR 1,800
• Second Class (general access): LKR 1,200
• Third Class: LKR 600
