Pokémon Inclement Emerald Mono-Dark Run (Part 10, Elite Four and Champion) GRAND FINALE

Описание: This is it. We have arrived at the Pokémon League in Inclement Emerald to finish our second monotype run in this ROM Hack. After taking a look at the team compositions of the Elite Four and Champion I decided to bring Shiftry, Tyranitar, Houndoom, Weavile, Greninja, and Absol. Shiftry will be our lead for Sidney and will be one of our main attackers for Wallace. Tyranitar’s role will be to act as the team’s special tank with Sand Stream and Assault Vest to boost its defenses. Tyranitar can also replace the weather which will be helpful for Glacia and Wallace. Houndoom is our primary Mega Evolution for the Elite Four and will be good for Phoebe and Glacia. Weavile will be our primary attacker for Drake. If he can land enough Icicle Spears, it is possible for him to sweep Drake. Greninja will be one of our special attackers and will be good for Sidney, Drake, and Wallace. And finally, there’s Absol who will be good for Sidney, Drake, and Wallace. Spoiler alert though, Absol doesn’t make much of a presence in the Elite Four challenge.

Speaking of the Elite Four challenge though, let’s start talking about those battles, starting with our Dark-type archnemesis Sidney. We start the battle by leading with Shiftry who replaces the Tyranitar’s sandstorm with sun. After taking down Tyranitar, he takes on Alolan Muk with our Mega Houndoom finishing it off. Mega Houndoom also takes on Greninja which he is capable of thanks to having Hidden Power Fighting. Weavile then comes in to take on Greninja and Mega Absol. Then, Greninja can come in to sweep the rest of Sidney’s team.

Next up is Phoebe who we take care of with Mega Houndoom. A single Nasty Plot and a bunch of Dark Pulses are all we need to sweep her team. The only risk in this battle was Dark Pulse missing out on the KO on the lead Mismagius. Otherwise though, it was definitely the easiest battle of the entire challenge.

After that, we face Glacia who I believe was the hardest battle of the entire challenge. Mega Houndoom is our lead for this battle and we begin by setting upé Nasty Plot while Glacia switches out into Mamoswine. She ends up switching her Abomasnow out a lot for this battle for some reason. That being said, a single Flamethrower can’t one-shot Mamoswine even with +2 Special Attack, but a burn saves us. Then, when Glaceon comes in, we switch into Tyranitar who can 1v1 Glaceon. From there, we can switch Mega Houndoom back in to sweep the rest of Glacia’s team.

Then, we face Drake before we get to challenge the champion. Much like Phoebe, this should be an easy battle. I will admit though, I made a grave error in that I didn’t get the Swords Dance TM before entering the Elite Four. It’s not like it mattered though. Weavile was able to take on Dragalage and Kommo-o with Greninja taking care of everything else.

And our battle is against Champion Wallace. The plan here was to one-shot Wailord with a Grass Knot but Wallace immediately switched it out for Vikavolt. As such, we have to swap out Greninja for Tyranitar. He would’ve been able to 1v1 Vikavolt but it launched a Hurricane that confused Tyranitar. As such, Mega Houndoom has to be the one to handle Vikavolt. Once Mega Houndoom goes down, Shiftry can come in to handle the incoming Wailord, or Latios rather as he switches out Wailord in favor of it. Then, we have to face the biggest threat in Ludicolo. The hope was to take on Ludicolo with Tyranitar of all things but Scald plans put an end to that plan. At least it can weaken Ludicolo, to where Shiftry can finish it off. From there, Shiftry also deals heavy damage to Wallace’s Mega Milotic before Greninja just sweeps everything else, proving that it is possible to beat Inclement Emerald using only Dark types.

. So with our fifth monotype run finished, what’s next for the channel? Well the plan is to take on Blaze Black 2 Redux with only Steel-type Pokémon. It will definitely be my hardest challenge by far due to how difficult Blaze Black 2 Redux is compared to everything else I’ve faced up to this point. I have more details regarding that run in the video itself and on a community post that should be up by now.
