Six months ago, we bought five acres of land in the Canadian woods with zero construction experience.

What we thought was vacant land turned out to be an abandoned off-grid camp, complete with a dilapidated cabin, old bunkies, and years of forgotten junk and materials.

In this video, we recap everything we’ve done so far as first-time builders. Clearing and developing raw land, operating heavy machinery, and starting construction from scratch on a tiny house, all with the goal of building our own home.

With housing prices out of reach, we chose a different path: buy land, learn construction by doing, and try to build a home ourselves.
