This is the third episode of 3 showing the actual trip, But I will be doing a fourth outlining the kit I found useful and that survived(!), something about the locations, together with some images I haven't shown previously. I'm hoping this will be useful for anyone contemplating a trip to Harris, Lewis and/or Skye.
I hope you managed to watch the first two episodes and this third vlog sees me finally get a decent sunrise (on my last day) on Harris before taking the ferry across to Skye and heading down to Talisker beach for the evening. I can honestly say it was one of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen as a photographer. Watching it on a deserted beach as the colours developed and grew was one of "those moments" that inspire and motivate and make all the driving and frustrations of other less successful occasions worth it. I hope the image goes some way to doing it justice.
The freakily unseasonal sunny weather lasted several days which, while making photography during the day very tough, did mean I could fly the drone a little and I have included a few small clips in this video.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed the trip and it'd be great if you want to subscribe to receive my next updates !
ABOUT ME:
I’m a UK-based photographer of anything and everything that I think enriches and enhances our planet. Wildlife, landscapes, travel, places and people. I finally decided that I wanted to make a record of the trips I do, not only for myself to look back on but hopefully also to inspire others to get out there, either with or without a camera.
