Northeast Ohio Forecast: Temps rise before late week freeze

Описание: Just a slim chance for an AM shower Wednesday with persistent clouds. A little breezy with temperatures topping out near 40° as the melting continues.

Thursday should be a decent day with temperatures in the 40s and more melting. Mainly dry through the day. A stray shower will be possible around the PM drive. Rain is more likely as the next cold front arrives. Rain, breezy winds, and temps near 50s Thursday night.

That all comes crashing down behind the front. This will lead to a flash freeze and the next Weather Impact Alert. Temperatures fall back below freezing for Friday with the potential for any standing water from melting snow and overnight rain to freeze and become icy.

Fast-forward to Christmas week and we'll have a few weaker systems moving through--travel doesn't look to be too problematic. There are signs that Christmas Day may feature a decent warm up with some of the models hinting at 50s for highs. Time will tell, but our chances for a white Christmas don't look great. I think we'll all accept the thaw!
