Construction of hostels that stalled at the Copperbelt University in Kitwe has resumed.
Two contractors are currently on site.
Once complete, the hostels will accommodate 5,000 students.
The works started in 2015, but works stalled in 2019 due to lack of funding.
Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO who checked on the project said the hostel project is expected to be completed by March next year.
Mr. MATAMBO said government is committed to ensuring quality infrastructure is delivered in all sectors of the economy.
And Acting CBU Vice Chancellor Professor BERNARD HANG'OMBE said once complete, the hostels will address accommodation challenges students face.
