In addition, Mr. Paterson has been an instructor in labor relations for the University of California at Santa Barbara, the University of California at Los Angeles, and a trainer for the UCLA Institute of Industrial Relations.
He has written articles for legal reviews and trade journals, and has published three books on labor relations for management.
