Basis for Service-Oriented Business Models
Service-oriented services become a key factor for business success and make the way from the Internet of Things to the Internet of Services. The technological basis for these concepts is the Digital Model, or the Digital Master, the Digital Thread and the Digital Twin. From the digital model - often called the "150% model" in D - an individual product is generated by customer- or order-specific instantiation, the core of the Digital Twin, which is enriched over the entire product life cycle, i.e. in development, production and later in operational operation via behavioral analyses, simulations and operating data. A definition of the Digital Twins developing over several research projects, as well as its derivation and management in a System Lifecycle Management (SysLM) environment, are part of this presentation. All the technical questions are accompanied by legal, ethical and financial questions, e.B. who owns the data, how can personal data protection be guaranteed and does a maintenance platform operator have to reimburse the manufacturer of the original product for the takeover of the delivered Digital Twins?
