Sketch N Build, VISA Dubai Mall Pop-up Activation

Описание: SNB were contracted by Multilem to construct a Retail Mall Activation for VISA from concept through to creation.

The activation provided a platform for VISA to showcase their headline sponsorship of the Tokyo Olympics, and bringing VISA and the Olympics to Dubai Mall - the most prestigious mall in the Middle East.

VISA’s primary focus was on customer engagement, attracting the maximum number of people to the activation as safely as possible.

Due to the large expected footfall, the emphasis on safety and the many interactive features of the activation, SNB were needed from the very early stages to plan this technically challenging build.

One major engineering challenge was to build a safe open-plan structure designed to give maximum opportunity for access, and allow room for branding and lighting.

The retail pop-up was built and assembled by master craftsmen in our workshop before being transported to one of the busiest locations within Dubai Mall.

A 3-Day build in a mall that was open to the public meant project management was key for the success of the project.

Permits and permissions for all construction workers were obtained from local authorities.

During the already restricted working hours of the religious festival Eid, our crew were limited to operating outside of mall opening times.

To shield the unfinished build from the public during the day we supplied and installed a 50m run of hoarding.

As expected when working in Dubai’s premium shopping mall we had to adhere to strict branding and finishing guidelines laid out for temporary structures.

We used high-end materials to replicate the quality of the permanent stores surrounding the activation.

Graphics were printed on premium vinyl, some backlit, and durable floor stickers as a continuation of the campaign in and around the activation.

The VISA activation has been a huge success with record customer engagement and acquisition, all within tough Covid restrictions. SNB are proud to have helped spread awareness of the 32nd summer games and showcase the longstanding VISA and IOC partnership.
