An amazing event this weekend on Ring Djursland.
The racetrack celebrated its 60 year anniversary by hosting this historic race, and we were invited for a special "celebration drive" because of the history of our Volvo having competed for many years. That meant it was a busy weekend with 50% more driving than we usually do.
We qualified fourth second amongst all cars with a Marcos, Elan and Cortina in front of us. Being second in class, we had several amazing battles with a very fast Ford Cortina Lotus. Our well prepared car ran like a clockwork throughout the weekend, even with the extra runs and the very fast Lotus Cortina had to retire with a mechanical failure, so unfortunately not much competition from our class in heat 3, but we managed to keep a very fast Lotus Elan behind us anyway.
We took first place again this weekend, which is really amazing and just marks the end of a good season where we have taken 1st place in every race we participated in.
