TED is the infamous idea-sharing platform that has given ideas and issues from every corner of the world a global stage. TEDxStJohns is the largest TEDx event in Atlantic Canada.
Dr. Delores V. Mullings is a member of a large extended family and the mother of two living adult children. She is an Associate Professor at Memorial University in the School of Social Work, the recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Teaching (Faculty) the WYCA Woman of Distinction Award - Teaching and Mentorship and a 100 Accomplished Black Women Honoree.
Her scholarly interests fall under the umbrella of Anti-Black racism and Critical Race theoretical orientation through which she explores topics such as decolonization the classroom, anti-Black racism in education and employment, whiteness and white privilege in higher education, community service learning, community engagement, Black parenting, Caribbean Canadian older adults, settlement and integration. She has an innate love for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) which is exemplified in the social justice oriented approach that she employs in her teaching and learning scholarship.
