TEACHER DEMO. This fun Christmas song is on p. 16 of Alfred's Adult Christmas Level 1 book. It was written by Benjamin Hanby in 1864. He was probably inspired by Clement C. Moore's 1822 poem "The Night before Christmas". This song is considered the second-oldest secular Christmas song with "Jingle Bells" coming in first place in 1857.
I like to play the eighth notes with a long/short rhythm.
