I’m sharing this, not because I have everything figured out, but because I’m learning what it feels like to stay connected to myself while opening up to others.
I don’t believe we have to choose between love and self-preservation. I think it’s possible to seek connection such as, friendship, intimacy, and community without losing ourselves in the process.
When I call my energy back, it’s about noticing when my attention drifts outward and gently returning it home.This practice reminds me that I can be open and grounded at the same time. I can be present with others, while still anchored within.
