For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Receive it.
Determine to Follow Jesus.
Walk it out.

The Love of Jesus changes us from the inside out.
Show the love of Jesus to people in need.
We Ask God to open our eyes, open our hearts, and then we take action.

More of Jesus, Less of Me

Question: Who is someone you look to as a model for living a good life?


Then a dispute arose between John’s disciples and a Jew about purification. John 3:24

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8.

So they came to John and told him, “Rabbi, the one you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan, is baptizing—and everyone is going to him.” John 3:26.

He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30

Moral impurity leads to death, but the love of Jesus can heal impurity.

And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:49.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38.

Baptism is our act of obedience that declares a new life in Christ Jesus has risen in us.

Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4.

More of Jesus. Less of me.

Question: Why do you think God wants people to live a pure life? Is it possible to do that on your own power?

Obeying Jesus.
Consume God’s word
In solitude
With others
For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

Do what it says.
But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God is made complete. This is how we know we are in him: 1 John 2:5.

But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

We cannot continue to ignore God’s will as expressed in the Scriptures and expect the aid of God’s Spirit. - AW Tozer

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19.

This is how we know that we love God’s children: when we love God and obey his commands. 1 John 5:2.
