The family of community activist Andries Tatane is yet to recover from the loss of a loved one. Tatane died on this day ten years ago in Ficksburg in the Free State after being beaten and shot at close range with rubber bullets following a confrontation with the police. He was among about four-thousand protesters demanding the delivery of basic services such as water.
