Hare Masale wale Jheenge - prawns in green masala - हरे मसाले वाले झींगे - बेहतरीन झींगा मसाला
Ingredients:
Prawns – half kg
Onion sliced – 1
Tomato – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Grated coconut – half cup
Green chili – 13 to 14
Coriander leaves – a hand full
Kokum (or Tamarind) – 5 to 6
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Jeera powder – half tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala powder – half tsp
Oil – quarter cup
Salt as per taste
Method:
Clean prawns and devein it. Grind coconut, green chili and coriander leaves to a fine paste. Add oil to a vessel, then add sliced onion and saute for a minute. now add chopped tomatoes and saute till tomatoes are soft. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. now add coconut green chili and coriander paste to it and saute again then add all powdered masala and saute well on low flame till oil separates. Now add kokum or tamarind. Then add prawns and salt. Mix well and cook covered on low flame for about 4 to 5 minutes and its done. Serve hot with chapati, paratha or white rice.
