A Traditional Korean Village - Joseon Korea Inspired Minecraft Kingdom - Part 2

Описание: Hello and welcome back! In today's video we revisit the Joseon Korea Inspired Kingdom for part 2: A Traditional Korean Village! My inspiration for this build came from the real world site of Hahoe Folk Village in South Korea, and the traditional Hanok style houses found within. The music for this series is a bit of a struggle, I'm searching for royalty free songs that feature traditional korean instruments, if you know of any, please send them my way!

Weaving throughout the plains of Unjeo is the Gold River, named for the countless wild sunflower petals that fell into the water and flowed towards the sea at the end of each year. On the other side of the river from the Seowon of Blossoms is the village of Geumcheon, which gets its name from the river of gold which flows around it. Home to the family estates of commonfolk and noblemen alike, the quaint village is a testament to the culture and tradition of Unjeo. Hanok houses of various styles enables residents of the village to remain warm in the winter with their heated floor systems, and paper windows and doors allow the houses to open up to the outside in the warmer months. When viewed from certain angles, the buildings of Geumcheon align with the nearby mountain slopes, revealing the harmony between the village and the surrounding landscape.

Background:
In the ancient plains of Unjeo, a massive field of wild sunflowers once grew. At the end of each season, the petals of the flowers would fall into the waters of the nearby river and flow towards the sea. The color of the water would become saturated with the gold from the sunflower petals, giving it its name. The village that sprung up on these plains would come to share its name: Geumcheon.

The village is a testament to the culture and tradition of Unjeo, and is home to commonfolk and noblemen alike. The houses of Geumcheon are built using natural materials found nearby, and are designed with nature in mind. Furnaces outside of the houses can be lit to provide heat underneath the houses during the colder months, and paper windows and doors can be opened up in the warmer months to allow the houses to breathe. Commonfolk live in thatched hanoks with less robust floor heating systems, while nobles have more elaborate houses with tiled roofs that form open living spaces. When viewed from certain angles, the buildings of Geumcheon align with the nearby mountain slopes, revealing the harmony between the village and the surrounding landscape. The sunflower gardens that dot the landscape are reminiscent of the wild plain of sunflowers that once dominated Unjeo, and the colorful shrines add to the beauty of the area.

Residents of Geumcheon live a peaceful life, surrounded by the natural beauty of the landscape. The village is a self sustaining community, providing everything they need to live a simple and fulfilling life. They raise horses, pigs and cattle, and grow crops such as barley and rice. Some of the villagers attend the nearby Seowon of Blossoms to receive an education, where they can learn the skills necessary to work in the nearby Palace City of Unjeong.
