Sunrise in New York is an original jazz composition by Christian Stoff, written and arranged between 2020 and 2021.
The piece draws on memories from time spent in New York between 2019 and 2020 and reflects the early morning hours of walking through rainy Manhattan, as night gradually gives way to morning and the sun rises over the East River.
This version was captured in a full, uninterrupted take by CSSC (Christian Stoff’s Sound Collective) at AMR (Sud des Alpes) in Geneva, Switzerland, on 21 January 2024, without overdubs. It was remixed and remastered in January 2026.
