There! The Dogs Are Out! is an original jazz composition by Christian Stoff, composed and arranged between 2022 and 2023.
The piece unfolds in two contrasting sections: an opening built around intricate melodic lines over a tight, march-like rhythm, followed by a more open second part that expands into bass and drum solos.
This performance was captured by CSSC (Christian Stoff’s Sound Collective) at AMR (Sud des Alpes) in Geneva, Switzerland, on 21 January 2024, without overdubs. This version was remixed and remastered in January 2026.
The title refers to a moment observed in New York City — a dog sitting behind the wheel of a parked car — photographed while living there. The image reflects the kind of everyday, slightly surreal situations that often feed the music.
