BALI FIRST IMPRESSIONS [Ubud Ridge Walk]

Описание: This is our first time in Indonesia! We nearly get attacked by street monkeys, eat snake fruit, see our first rice fields, and more in this Bali vlog. We try a strangely named fruit for the first time (snake fruit?!)!

Our morning starts off with a bit of extra adrenaline. Our hotel is right next to the Monkey Forest, and on our way to drop off laundry, a herd (gang? family?) of monkeys come toward us. The camera is a wide angle lens, so they look farther away than they actually were! We were awake after that!

After greeting some dogs, we head out to begin the Campuhan Ridge Walk - or so we think! After a false start, we make it onto the actual Campuhan Ridge Walk. It's incredibly hot (thank goodness you can't see much of our sweat!) and we're grateful for the tiny bits of shade we experience. It was amazing walking through a jungle!

The Campuhan Ridge Walk doesn't last as long as we expect it to, but it does finish just in time for lunch. Thankfully Google Maps works at the end of the walk, and we identify a well reviewed warung a bit of a ways ahead (Bamboo Kitchen). Our first lunch absolutely nails the ambiance we expected to experience in Ubud and Bali. It's delicious, it's peaceful, it's Bali.

After making our way back to the hotel, it's time for an afternoon snack, and our hotel left us some snake fruit. WHY IS THERE A FRUIT NAMED SNAKE FRUIT?! Yeah, so the outside feels like snake skin. Not that we've touched a snake... Did we like it? Watch to find out!
