Ushering in the Christmas spirit at Malacañan Palace, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos lead the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Kalayaan Grounds on November 23, 2025.

Together with invited guests, the President and First Lady watched the ‘Puso ng Pasko’ performance by Alice Reyes Dance Philippines, accompanied by the Manila Symphony Orchestra and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers. It is the first full-length, all-Filipino Christmas ballet that captures the true spirit of Paskong Pinoy under the mentorship of Alice Reyes, National Artist for Dance. Ryan Cayabyab, National Artist for Music, did musical arrangements.

Another highlight of today’s ceremony is the presentation of awards to the top three (3) winners and three (3) special awards in the ‘Isang Bituin, Isang Mithiin’ National Parol-Making Competition Year 4. This year, a total of 133 parols or Christmas lantern entries were received from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Training Institutes nationwide.

The annual Christmas tree lighting at Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañan Palace symbolizes the warmth of Filipino Christmas and the ongoing hope for a Bagong Pilipinas, bringing Filipinos together to celebrate the holiday season.
