Salt and Sanctuary - How to Beat The Kraekan Cyclops

Welcome to Salt and Sanctuary, the side-scrolling action RPG by indie game developer Ska Studios.

The Kraekan Cyclops resides in the lower section of The Sunken Keep and his boss room can be accessed from either side. The is a purely physical damage fight so stack up on the proper defenses. A shield and medium roll (or better) are recommended for this fight.

The Kraekan Cyclops has a long windup before his attacks. These are a good tell on what attack is coming and how to prepare for it.

My general rules for this boss 1) Stay in close at all times 2) roll through him when his windup is in a high position 3) block when his windup is in a low position 4) attack after his strikes

All of his attacks can be rolled through but the timing window on low hits is so narrow that it's best to block.

Wait to heal until after you roll through a high hit. This gives the most time to initiate the healing process.

The Kraekan Cyclops get a little more aggressive under half health. He gains the ability to do two attacks in succession on with his jump attack and one of the low attacks. It's easiest to block the second attack if you can.
