Jog Falls – The King of Waterfalls in India
Jog Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in India, located in Karnataka’s Shimoga district. It is formed by the Sharavathi River, dropping from a height of about 830 feet (253 meters). The water here falls in four parts – Raja, Rani, Rocket, and Roarer – each with its own beauty.
The best time to visit is during the monsoon season (July–September) when the falls are in full flow and covered with mist and greenery. You can enjoy viewpoints, photography, and trekking down to the base of the falls for a closer look.
