47. How to make delicious low fat Pate : Quick and Easy

Today I am teaching you how to make delicious Chicken liver Pate. This is a family recipe that has been modified to be suitable for the Dukan Diet, low fat diet, low carb diet, low sodium diet and those on a Healthy Diet. It is full of flavour.
We start the video by cooking off all the chicken livers and then we split the mixture in half. One half can be eaten straight away, divide into 2 or 3 small portions served with a side salad if you like and the other half is cooling off to be turned into the pate. You can of course choose not to make the pate or to turn the whole mixture into pate. If you decide to make everything into pate, you just need to double the amount of cream cheese that you add before blending.
Ingredients
500g very fresh chicken livers ,blood drained off
1 medium to large onion ,roughly chopped
190g unsmoked back bacon pork or turkey remove all excess fat
1 teaspoon or 5ml crushed / chopped fresh garlic
1 tablespoon or 15ml smooth mustard, mild
1 punch of dried tarragon is optional or can use parsley if you prefer
60g cream cheese less than 7 percent fat
80ml third of a cup milk

Leave mixture to cool slightly before blending into pate is important.
If using half of the mixture, about 300g, to make pate you add 100g of cream cheese before blending. This will make 2 small ramekins of about 200ml each. This will be around 10 or 12 portions.
If you want to make a bigger amount you can use the whole mixture and add 200g of cream cheese less than 7 percent fat. Perfect for a party of 20 or more guests.
In the video I served it with home made Everyday Dukan bread as well as Dukan Melba toast made from the same bread.
