You weren't sure what you wanted to do with your life yet. If you wanted to be a villain at all. You were taking your time to decide, but keeping your indecision hidden from your mother. She had just high expectations for you. You want to live up to them.
Today's test took you by surprise. You woke up in a cell with a superhero. An adult superhero. There were no instructions, no rules. Just you and them.
Your mother is testing how you'll react. If you'll fight or work together with the superhero. You didn't even know what you'd do yet. So you just lay there and listened.
