48 hours in Osaka and Nara, Japan | Making friends with Nara deer! | Lisa Preece

Описание: Welcome to my second Japan vlog from my two-week Japan holiday from October and November 2023. In this video, we travel to Osaka from Hakone, where we had stayed near Mount Fuji. We stayed at Hotel Code in Shinsaibashi, and I would definitely recommend it for the great location close to great restaurants, shops, bars and tourist attractions. On our first day, we explored Osaka Castle and Sinsekai. We had great Osaka-style Okonomiyaki and gyozas that were handmade in front of us! Amazing.

The next day, we went on a day trip to Nara, which was under an hour away from our hotel. We bought the Nara Day Bus Pass, which was great value, and headed off to meet some deer! They were so sweet, and it was crazy to hand-feed biscuits to deer rather than seeing them fleetingly from far away, like I've done in the past. We had so much fun doing this! It was one of my favourite Japan experiences. Also in Nara Park is the Tōdai-ji temple, which is the oldest wooden structure in the world! Amazing. We paid the entry fee and had a look around.

Later, we used the Nara Bus Pass to get over to some other temples on the other side of the city. Yakushi-ji was incredibly atmospheric as a thunderstorm rolled through Nara! Then we headed back to Osaka and had an evening out in Dotonbori.
