🥬 Ingredients:
3/4 Danta (jute stems / data shak stems) – cleaned & cut
2 tbsp Poppy seeds (Posto)
1 Green chilies
1 Big Potato - diced
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Mustard oil
Water as needed
🍲 Method:
1️⃣ Prepare the Posto Paste
Grind dry the poppy seeds n add water and make a smooth paste
Keep aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Danta & Potato
Peel the outer fiber of the danta (jute stems) properly.
Wash well and cut into small pieces.
Peel 1 Big size potato cut into small pieces .
3️⃣ Cooking Process
Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil in a pan.
Add diced potato fry until slightly golden
Add the Danta fry them 5-7 mins
Add salt. Mix well.
Cover and cook on medium flame until soft (sprinkle a little water if needed).
4️⃣ Add Posto Paste
Once the danta is soft, add the prepared posto paste.
Mix well and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Stir continuously so it doesn’t stick.
Cook for 2 mins until it mixed properly.
5️⃣ Final Step
Drizzle a little raw mustard oil on top (optional for authentic flavor).
Serve hot with steamed rice 🍚.
