February 2024 we met Tim van der Steen, a 46-year-old floral designer hailing from Amsterdam. Tim’s journey is a testament to the power of creativity, which has been a guiding force throughout his life. His path through various creative roles ultimately led him to discover his true passion: crafting art with flowers.

Tim embodies a unique approach to creativity, staying true to his own vision and immersing himself fully in the present moment. Last February, we wanted to dive deep in his artistic work and explore how his creative journey is being formed. Truly inspirational.

What sets Tim apart is his unconventional creative process—a whirlwind of ideas and inspiration that unfolds like a rollercoaster ride. Unlike traditional planning methods, Tim allows his mind to roam freely, embracing spontaneity and intuition to transform ordinary flowers into extraordinary works of art.

His work is proof of the boundless possibilities of creativity. Working with several high segment fashion stores and many more creative hubs, each piece he designs is a unique expression of Tim's artistic vision, and very important, impossible to replicate. Through his art, Tim celebrates the inherent beauty and individuality of living objects, proving that true creativity knows no bounds.
