Описание: Shame is most often assigned to the victim. In this personal talk, Najma Jama Abdullahi reveals being sexually assaulted at age 11, and her journey since. She asks not for pity, but for activism to ensure that instead of teaching girls how not be raped that we teach boys how not to rape. Najma Jama Abdullahi is currently a senior at Waynflete High School. She is part of Seeds of Peace and a co-founder of SAYV, an organization devoted to giving young people and teens a platform to speak about issues they are passionate about. She is also an avid reader, poet, and lover of art. She is a Black Somali Muslim woman who is devoted to bringing equity to those disenfranchised. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
