Dave Day, Barrow-in-Furness, June 2024.
On Saturday the 8th of June 2024, the town of Barrow-in-Furness hosted the first and inaugural DAVE DAY to celebrate the life of Barrow born Hairy Biker Dave Myers.
I was able to capture some scenes and some of the atmosphere from the day, and to interview some of the 40 odd thousand bikers who had ridden from all over the country, on this day, to converge on Barrow to commemorate his memory.
It was in a way a celebratory Mass Motorcycle Wake event.
A repeat event is planned for June 2025, again, in Dave's birthplace town of Barrow-in-Furness.
Maybe I'll catch you there too.
