A scenic circular walk from Thirlmere to Helvellyn, continuing over Nethermost Pike before descending back to Thirlmere in the heart of the Lake District.
This route climbs steadily from Swirls Car Park, passing open fellside and rocky paths before reaching the summit plateau of Helvellyn, England’s third-highest mountain. From the top, the walk continues south to Nethermost Pike, offering quieter paths and wide views across the Central and Eastern Fells, before descending back towards Thirlmere to complete the loop.
