Helvellyn via Striding Edge - An Epic Knife Edge Ridge Hike in the Lake District!

Описание: Hi everyone! In this video we are climbing Helvellyn via Striding Edge which is an epic knife edge ridge hike in the Lake District, England! Helvellyn is the third highest point in the Lake District and in England, standing at 950m above sea level, and is a very popular mountain due to the number of different approaches you can take to get to the top!

For our video we focus on the ascent via Striding Edge which is perhaps the most spectacular way to the top. The route is a Grade 1 scramble so requires the use of your hands in places and should only be attempted in good weather conditions unless you are an experienced hiker. This route can be combined with a descent down Swirral Edge on the adjacent side of the mountain for a brilliant circular walk!

However, there are many easier routes up Helvellyn and we also provide details for some of those routes in this video for you.
