WIPO Director General Francis Gurry and European Blind Union Vice President Bárbara Martin welcome the accession on October 1, 2018 of the European Union to the Marrakesh Treaty which greatly expands geographical coverage of the agreement.
The ratification ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Assemblies of Member States of WIPO which met in Geneva from September 24 to October 2, 2018.
